Innovation is key to addressing agriculture challenges
News | 08/29/2016
Cultivation Corridor Executive Director Brent Willett is out with an op-ed in Wallace’s Farmer. In the piece he talks about extraordinary challenges we face with our growing population and the need to increase global food production in the midst of tough times being faced by America’s farmers and agricultural companies. Diminishing inventory of arable production land, compiled with the traditional risks farmers face and the skyrocketing costs of ag research and development all add to the pressure.
But the news isn’t all bad. According to Willett, opportunity knocks for farmer profitability and agribusiness growth through innovation and working together on solutions to ensure our continued status as world leaders in agriculture.
