Greater Des Moines Partnership
Brian Crowe is the Executive Vice President for Economic Development at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, a role he assumed in January 2021. The Greater Des Moines Partnership is an organization dedicated to the economic and community development of the ten county Greater Des Moines region. Crowe is responsible for regional economic development.
Prior to joining the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Crowe served as Vice President for Business Attraction at ICR IOWA, a seven-county regional economic development organization serving the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids region. Crowe also served as the Economic Development Strategist for the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, where he oversaw business retention and expansion, as well as business attraction efforts for the Cedar Rapids Metro area. In addition to the work in Eastern Iowa, Crowe has also held economic development positions at the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Office of Energy Independence which oversaw investments in commercializing renewable energy investments and biobased renewables through the Iowa Power Fund.
Crowe has nearly fifteen years of economic development experience and has worked with state and local partners on economic development projects across the State of Iowa. He has a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a current member of the International Economic Development Council and is a past board member of the Professional Developers of Iowa. Crowe served as a member of the United States Peace Corps in Romania from 2002-2004.
