Martin Haverly has over 10 years of experience in renewable fuels technology and innovation. He is Senior Manager, Product & Process Development and Renewable Fuels Delivery Manager at Chevron, leading technology strategy and commercialization. Dr. Haverly joined Chevron in 2022 via its acquisition of Renewable Energy Group, where he began his career in 2016. He has held various roles focused on deploying new technologies, providing technical support, managing an innovation program he founded and promoting growth in the lower carbon fuel industry.

Originally from Iowa, Dr. Haverly spends his time outside of work outdoors with his family, participates in his local church, and volunteers in roles related to sustainability and youth engagement.

Dr. Haverly holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Biorenewable Resources and Technology, as well as a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. At Iowa State, Dr. Haverly conducted research on renewable fuel production technologies sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and several energy companies. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa.
