Australian Cohort Rescheduled for 2021

The first cohort of the Cultivo Global Ag Innovation Program hosted by America’s Cultivation Corridor is now planned for 10 days in first or second quarter 2021, with final dates and detailed schedule to be announced later this year.  The cohort will be open to entrepreneur leaders of startup companies based in Australia.

While we are disappointed that the first cohort could not be held as originally planned given the global COVID-19 pandemic and resulting travel restrictions and social distancing requirements, we are committed to hosting the program in 2021 and very excited that Australian entrepreneurs and startups will be the first cohort to participate.

The Cultivo program is a 10-day immersion program to connect with and learn from Iowa’s agricultural research and business leadership and provide an overview of the U.S. regulatory and financial systems.  The program will also include visits to Iowa State University to engage with top faculty, ISU Research Park and ISU BioCentury Research Farm, tour several leading companies, and meet with farmers.

Planning for the person-to-person cohort is already well underway.  We are also excited to work with our Australian partners to create virtual opportunities to engage Iowa leaders with Australian entrepreneurs and founders prior to their arrival.  More details will be shared soon.

We will continue to monitor the situation and work with participating companies and all parties involved and will provide additional updates as dates are finalized. We will work closely with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and AgriFutures Australia to provide updates to participating companies.
