Nate Green serves as Executive Director, Global Sourcing – Origination Business Development for Renewable Energy Group (REG). REG is leading the energy and transportation industries’ transition to sustainability by converting renewable resources into high-quality, sustainable fuels. Mr. Green’s role is focused on accelerating REG’s efforts to establish a robust global presence in renewable feedstock markets and is responsible for business development with new and existing suppliers, identification of new renewable feedstock sources, strategic partnerships, long-term supply contracts, and logistics investments for feedstock access.
Prior to REG, Mr. Green was Vice President of Transactions at Washington DC-based McBee Strategic Consulting, with a practice focused on clean technology and renewable energy project finance and strategic partnerships, including biofuels, solar, wind, and electric vehicles. He also worked at two Iowa law firms, which included work on wind energy and biofuels projects. In addition to America’s Cultivation Corridor, Mr. Green serves as Board Chair of the Iowa Biotechnology Association.
Mr. Green is a member of the Iowa Bar Association and holds a JD, highest honors, from the University of Iowa College of Law. As a Fulbright Fellow to The Netherlands, Mr. Green earned an MA in Political Science from Leiden University and conducted research at the International Criminal Court. He holds a BA, highest distinction, from the University of Iowa. Mr. Green is an Iowa native, originally from Fort Dodge, where his family still owns a century farm. He now resides in Ankeny with his family of four.
