2025 ISU James D. McKean Swine Disease Conference

The McKean Conference will take place on June 25th at the Gateway Hotel. There are a number of pre-conference workshop options for June 24. Featured topics will include swine recruitment and retention of recent graduates, the economics of the swine industry, and an overview of the Danish experience with PRRS control and eradication efforts. In the afternoon, breakout sessions will include applied research on Sapovirus, PEDV elimination, experimental infection of HPAI in swine, and lessons learned in Streptococcus suis vaccinology. Applied case studies will cover techniques for reducing sow mortality, successful batch farrowing, PCV3 vaccination, and the use of technology to enhance biosecurity.
