Dr. Andrew Yersin

Sr. Vice President, Worldwide Quality Assurance and Monogastric Technical Service Kemin Industries

Dr. Yersin is an active member of the American Society of Animal Science, American Academy of Veterinary Nutrition, American Association of Swine Veterinarians, American Association of Avian Pathologists, and Poultry Science Association. He also serves on the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at Iowa State University.

Before joining Kemin, Dr. Yersin worked as a microbiologist for the National Animal Disease Center in Ames, Iowa. Additionally, he has held academic teaching and research positions at Penn State University and Texas A&M University.

Dr. Yersin holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a master’s degree in reproductive physiology from the University of Maryland, in College Park, Md. He completed his doctorate degree in patho-physiology at North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Since joining Kemin in 2004, he has worked as a Technical Product Manager, Worldwide Director of Intellectual Property and Regulatory Affairs, Director of Research and Development for the Animal Nutrition and Health division, President of Companion Animal Health venture business unit, and Sr, VP of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Pet Food.
