Industry competitors working together to improve Iowa’s water quality

DES MOINES, Iowa (August 12, 2025) Agriculture’s Clean Water Alliance (ACWA) marked its 25th anniversary of commitment to improving water quality in Iowa and productivity for Iowa’s farmers in 2024.

Eric Scherder of Corteva agriscience says that Corteva has been a member of the ACWA since 2013. Scherder says that the ACWA helps the industry work together and hold each other accountable with goals designed to improve water quality.

He adds that when it comes to “doing the right thing” with water quality initiatives, it’s important to implement practices that are effective at making incremental improvements to water quality.
