Iowa State University students invited to apply by April 19

America's Cultivation Corridor is excited to announce our third year of the Next Gen Innovation Impact Study, where a small team of Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Students, our Innovation Interns, will spend the fall semester uncovering innovations driving sustainability in agriculture. Apply here.

About the internship
The Innovation Interns, starting their work in late August 2024, will explore how innovation impacts sustainability in food and agriculture by:

  • Conducting research, while leveraging the expertise of America's Cultivation Corridor, on how we can increase our sustainability practices by fostering innovation across multiple value chains.
  • With guidance from America's Cultivation Corridor staff, identify innovations impacting food and agriculture, that should be elevated to increase awareness of sustainability practices throughout the industry.
  • Develop a presentation focused on innovations that are or have the potential to significantly impact sustainability and resilience in agriculture and food and have the potential to be intriguing to a general audience.
  • Interns will undergo media training and receive guidance on reaching out to media outlets. They will develop talking points and strategies to effectively share their experiences and research findings.
